Combining technological excellence and emotional values in a specific design language ever since, the current challenge for TUNZE® is the fine balance between quality and environmental friendliness, as energy isn’t for free and affects the environment. TUNZE® pumps are constantly being developed to set new records in the power consumption sector. This means minimal heat dissipation in the water at constant reliability. Even internal production processes are consistently aligned with environmental criteria. In order to reduce CO2 emissions and optimize energy efficiency, it is a priority to minimize electricity consumption.

Even after a 60 years company history, TUNZE® has remained a down-to-earth, medium-sized enterprise with currently about 50 employees located in Penzberg, Upper Bavaria, and a widely spread network of distribution partners around the world. Axel Tunze, the son of the founder Norbert Tunze and his firstborn son Felix are currently the managing directors and the core of the company. By their team of mostly long-term employees, they receive a lot of support in this strongly fluctuating industry in order to maintain their down-to-earth attitude.

What is a product without good service? TUNZE® makes sure that service goes beyond sale. As one of the first aquaristic companies, from 1998 onwards, TUNZE® presented itself on the internet on www.tunze.com and took advantage of new sales and service opportunities for its customers. Since then, aquarists all around the world have been able to access the whole range of products, instructions, videos, etc, and order all available spare parts at short notice via the online shop in direct sales. TUNZE® is also well-known for its straightforward and quick service on its telephone hotline or via email. The close network of long-standing and constantly added wholesalers, retailers and online dealers deliver TUNZE® products to their customers quickly and reliably.

The TUNZE® wheel never stops spinning. Since its foundation by the aquaristics pioneer Norbert Tunze, who consistently sought to explore the limits of technology, every year novelties have been developped and launched. TUNZE® traditionally presents these innovations by various media, such as specialist magazines, aquaristic portals, facebook, YouTube, Instagram and every two years at the Interzoo trade fair in Nuremberg.
